An exhibition and demonstration in watercolour by John Yardley RI

On 19 October, at 6.00 pm, at the Association TheArtsBox in Vicenza, Italy, an exhibition of RI member John Yardley watercolour paintings opened to the public: JOHN YARDLEY: A LIFE IN WATERCOLOUR. It is an exhibition of watercolours in collaboration with Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours on the occasion of the first edition of TheArtsBox Watercolour Prize (2018). John Yardley is recognized as one of the great masters of his generation.   The day after the inauguration of his exhibition, John gave a demonstration at TheArtsBox, for a limited number of associates.

The exhibition, composed of 28 works in watercolour, can be seen in Vicenza (Contra ‘ São Paulo, 23) until 26 January 2020. A small catalogue of his works and a postcard are available.

Winsor & Newton, generous sponsors of the RI, donated painting materials  to the demonstration given by John and to the members of TheArtsBox, that included cards, professional colours and a new dot card of all 109 colours by Winsor & Newton. This generous gift helped to enrich the morning and was enjoyed both by John and the participants!

An unforgettable autumn morning at TheArtsBox… John Yardley painted for a small group of members. John was thanked for this unique occasion and his demonstration was the conclusion of a nice weekend in his company.

Marco Fazzini, Director at TheArtsBox opened the exhibition and said,” It is a great honour to inaugurate the exhibition on the occasion of the first edition of the prize TheArtsBox only prize in collaboration with RI (Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, London), and above all have here with us John Yardley and his wonderful works.”
