Fundamentally I am a draughtsman and over my working life I have chosen media and colour to enhance this, and that is why I use watercolour. Likewise, I have always worked from direct observation, and this has now enabled me to use this wealth of information directly from my mind. Conscious of Pure Form, I combine a geometric structure with feeling familiar to us all to construct 3D on a 2D plane.
