The ArtsBox Solo Prize awarded to Deborah Walker RI RSMA

In a recent announcement to the Members, friends and visitors of The ArtsBox Association, The ArtsBox Board said…

THEARTSBOX AWARD TO DEBORAH WALKER

We are pleased to inform you that last April 2nd, on the occasion of the opening of the 207th annual exhibition of watercolour works of the historic Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours at the Mall Galleries, we had the honour of awarding the TheArtsBox Prize with the English artist Deborah Walker.

To the winner TheArtsBox will offer a personal exhibition in autumn 2020 and, most probably, the possibility of being able to hold a workshop dedicated to our members in good standing with the annual registration in Vicenza.

We renew our thanks to President Rosa Sepple, the entire RI Board and honorary HRH member The Prince of Wales for this important partnership between RI and TheArtsBox.

Many thanks also to all of you for having been close to us in these years, for having attended, shared and helped to bring to life a Vicenza reality that at first seemed pure utopia.

ROYAL INSTITUTE OF PAINTERS IN WATER COLOuRS AND THEARTSBOX

Dear Members, friends and visitors of TheArtsBox association,

It is with great satisfaction that we inform you of the continuation of the partnership between our association and the historic Royal Institute of Artists in Acquarello (RI: Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours), promoter in 2019 of the 207th annual exhibition of works painted with various watercolour techniques.

Partita with the name of New Society of Painters in Water Colors in 1807, then became Associated Artists in Water Colours in 1808, attracted since the start artists of the calibre of William Blake, David Cox, Paul Sandby, Peter De Wint, etc. Closed in 1812, it reopened with new forces in 1831 under the name of New Society of Painters in Water Colours, to become the current Institute of Painters in Water Colours in 1863, and then add the title of “Royal” in 1885 by decree of Queen Victoria.

Special thanks to President Rosa Sepple, and to the entire RI Board, made up of magnificent artists and the honorary member and HRH patron The Prince of Wales, for the consolidation of this prestigious collaboration.
