The official opening of the 207th Exhibition of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours will take place today at 3pm at the Private ViewĀ by art critic, writer and broadcasterĀ Anthony J. Lester; and the RI PresidentĀ Rosa Sepple.
The 207th Exhibition of the Royal Institute will be held as in previous years at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1, fromĀ 3-18 April, open 10am to 5pm daily.Ā The RI was formed to exhibit the best watercolours and to show non-membersā works alongside the individual collections by Members, a policy that is upheld today. Works by Candidates seeking membership will also be prominently displayed and this year we set a new record for non-membersā paintings of just over 38%.
