The 6 paintings in the show are all based on coastal landscapes in western Cornwall. I am particularly inspired by the rugged beauty of this area of Britain that seems to evoke history, magic, struggle, ancient geology and a time long past. All these elements draw me to endeavour to capture in water-based media their wildness and, until fairly recently, their remoteness in an expressive and personal way.
