Ann Blockley RI is exhibiting at the John Davies Gallery in Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire from July 7- August 4 in an exhibition by the group of fine artists, ‘The Arborealists‘. The group developed out of the exhibition ‘Under the Greenwood: Picturing the British Tree from Constable to Kurt Jackson’ which was held in the St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery, Lymington in 2013.
Tree Studies and Landscapes seen through the eyes of 30 artists.This exhibition features twenty-one of the sixty or so Arborealists and nine artists introduced to the group by The John Davies Gallery. This collection consists of between 80-100 exhibits in a wide variety of materials and sizes.
Gallery director John Davies has said of the current exhibition: “These are paintings to truly contemplate. They are works of art that can slow us down. ” I hope that this will be one of the most absorbing exhibitions that we have ever staged at the gallery.”
