David Poxon RI NWS, has won the Presidents prize at the National Watercolor Society of America annual exhibition.The glittering NWS Award ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on 7th May.
David’s winning painting is titled ‘Escape’, a pure watercolour depicting a typical Lower East side NY scene.
David says “It is always a delight to be Awarded in shows. The NWS is a particularly important USA Society, and the President’s Prize is a top honour. The subject has been in my to do folder for some time , I got the reference material when I was exhibiting at OK Harris Gallery in New York a few years ago.”
Davids next show will be the much anticipated International Watercolour Masters at Lilleshall Hall England, (16 to 29 May) He will be exhibiting a number of new works alongside some of the world’s elite watercolour Masters.
