The RI is a registered charity number 291405, receiving no Arts Council grant or government subsidy for its important contribution to the mainstream of British art.
The RI welcomes donations from all walks of life. These help us to continue our important work in education and in promoting the watercolour medium. If you wish to give to the RI please contact the Hon. Treasurer.
Patrons may also wish to include the RI in their will. A charitable bequest allows you to make a lasting contribution without immediate financial outlay. Legacies of any amount are always welcome. Your gift will make a real difference to us, and the annual exhibition catalogue will contain a list of all benefactors.
Giving an award or prize means encouragement for an artist or group of artists and also has the benefit of carrying the donor’s name, or that of someone whose name the donor wishes to be remembered.

APPEAL
In recent years the RI has gathered together the RI Archive from various locations where it has been stored for many years. We are delighted to say that our Archives are now safely housed at the V&A in London.
The Archives are in need of restoration, due to their age and previous damage during the war. Restoration, at a cost of over £11,000, is starting in April 2019.
If you are able to help fund this project with a donation, however small, we would be extremely grateful.
Please contact the Hon. Treasurer David Parfitt RI for further details.
