It was lovely to hear from one of our Honorary Retired Members Janet Skea recently with a selection of images of her paintings.
With a focus on still life subjects, here on the left Janet paints the subtlety of light on white fabrics, where soft shadows give shape and form. Each painting is an exquisite observation of everyday objects in light and airy spaces.
Janet’s more colourful paintings, seen here below are narrative paintings, with hidden or implied stories in the careful selection of objects grouped together.
