Aimee says, “My painting collection this year is about café society in Eastern Europe and Lithuania , dancing on the edge of an abyss. I kind of time travelled my way into “ history painting “. It was a popular genre in the 19th century, but now out of fashion. Grandiose scenes are not my thing, but I aimed for a kind of mood music of the interwar period before WW2.”
