Dates are set for IWM2024, the spectacular world-famous elite watercolour show. Staged at the stately Lilleshall Hall, TF10 9AT, in Shropshire England, IWM2024 is curated and organised by RI member David Poxon. Together with a handpicked & dedicated team of IWM event specialists, the show is once more destined to be a truly magnificent spectacle. David, through his International connections, will bring together the leading Masters of watercolour from all corners of the globe to exhibit, demonstrate, and lead workshops at this historic venue. IWM2024 will be the third IWM biennale in this series which already has a first-class reputation for its presentation and organisation.
Historic Lilleshall Hall is set within a thousand acres of English Heritage landscape with walking trails, and Capability Brown inspired Italian Gardens. All facilities are in place for an excellent day out with cafes, restaurants, a 4* hotel set in the Hall itself, and free parking.
The IWM Arena will host the exhibition and the live demonstrations which will be filmed and streamed for the newly formed IWM TV. Special teaching rooms sit adjacent to the main show, and 3 or 4 workshops will be running every day, hosted by the Masters themselves, throughout the 2 week show run. More than 150 Watercolour Masterpieces will be on display.
Kicking off the IWM2024 Launch is the IWM World Festival Contest. A similar competition was staged ahead of the 2022 show at the same venue. It’s aims are to encourage all watercolour enthusiasts to participate and find the next generation of Masters. The top 10 winners will get to exhibit alongside the Masters in the main exhibition. They can also win 2 nights luxury hotel accommodation, first class framing for the expo, and other Awards including the potential to be discovered by a massive audience
For the first time in watercolour history another innovative move is that the Top 200 contest entrant’s paintings will be shown on giant screens in the main Arena throughout the show alongside the Live expo. This ensures that everyone has a great chance to be seen at IWM2024. Anticipated online viewing audience is over 3.5 million in addition to the thousands of visitors expected to travel to the live event.
The IWM2024 Contest is open now and can be entered via the IWM web at WWW.IWM2024.COM The Contest will be judged by 24 specially chosen Masters, Industry professionals, and also Moderators from Watercolour Alliance – the dedicated feeder social media site for IWM with 53000 members.
