As ever I get my inspiration from the ever changing tides and their environs. The movement that the water evokes. The play of light as it passes. All my work begins in front of the subject usually not too far from the Thames. What an amazing artery it is! I make working drawing/sketches that are later interpreted into paintings in my studio using acrylic water based Golden Paints. I use anything that comes to hand from brushes/palette knives or just fingers! Torn paper edges can produce wonderful effects! My support of choice is Saunders Waterford 300LB/600gms rough paper.
