The 209th Exhibition of the Royal Institute will be held at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1, from 20-29 May, open 11am to 4pm daily and booking is required.

The RI was formed to exhibit the best watercolours and to show non-members’ works alongside the individual collections by Members, a policy that is upheld today. Works by Candidates seeking membership will be prominently displayed and this year we had a record number of 1735 submissions by non-members, an increase of 58%. From these submissions we have selected 211 paintings by non-members to hang alongside collections by RI members.
