ANDREW WYETH
Techniques, paintings, books, career
On the final weekend of the exhibition of works by watercolour painters from all over the world ( Water, Colour and Life on Earth ), one of the great American artists who made watercolour one of its main mediums, will be honoured, reaching peaks (and quotations) ) still unattainable.
We will use various images taken from catalogues and books of and on Wyeth to illustrate his career, the oppositions of the avant-gardes towards his poetics, the possible coincidences with poets (as Frost) and with artists apparently distant to him (like Pollock) ). You will also see filmed interviews and rare videos about his life as an artist and his work. |
