In the Threadneedle Space this year we have a rare opportunity for visitors to view just some of our archives, displayed under glass in the centre. Our Archives are now permanently housed at the V&A in Museum and Art Gallery. Alongside our archives our Candidates‘ collections are displayed. Voting by members takes place at the Annual General Meeting, after which any new members will be announced.
New member in 2018, Tianya Zhou RI, demonstrated his techniques in painting a portrait in watercolour. These images show the intense scrutiny which the artist must give his subject in order to achieve a likeness. Both RI members and visitors quietly and respectfully look on with admiration.
