“Both of my paintings are dreaming of a world that does not exist, but are inspired by one that does. In the case of ‘Cotswolds Dreams I’, (image left), it is the interplay between the landscape and St Mary the Virgin Church in Shipton under Wychwood from where the sculpture and the porch came from. In ‘Cotswolds Dreams II’, (image right), it is the establishment of a windswept garden in the Cotswolds. The only thing holding firm being the gate!” – Julia Sorrell RI
